Intriguing and enjoyable so far

Would be better with less Presidential politics.

Excellent. The human interest angle is so insightful and realistic. Enjoying it but it is hard to fathom the terrors of this kind of life style.

Crazy read. Fun, sad, funny, interesting, topic is unusual. I probably would not have chosen this but I am enjoying it. This was my book club read this month and we had a very lively discussion!

Very good so far. Like the character variations, some sophisticated and worldly while others are ostriches with their head in the sand. The unlikely connections between characters and generations are a little bit of a stretch but still believable. Like so many of her books, I love the contrasts of time periods.

So-so. While interesting look at the times, it’s not captivating. A lot of detail about the period which I like, especially from a 2021 perspective. So disheartening to learn that all this deception was happening. I will keep reading to the end.
