between yesterday and today things became very fast paced. interesting to see chapters that are hardly a page, flipping between stories and perspectives

so many things happening i feel like i need to take notes

groggy and optimistic. this week is too long

Just finished chapter 16. The current arc I’m on right now is so invigorating and I love the constant callbacks to everything earlier in the novel. Even picking this back up after shelving it for so long, it was not difficult to recall the plot.

So far so good. I like the original take on a cyberpunk world that differs from the franchise chain. The world building in this book reminds me more of works like Ready Player One or Sword Art Online (very lightly). I get upset that perspectives flip every chapter, but it keeps me going!

Part one finished, what a plot twist that made my stomach turn. I knew something twisted was coming, but it still leaves an emptiness in me that makes me nervous to finish the book. I went back and reread the first few pages too, which really made my heart hurt for the narrator.

So far the book is alright. The storyline seems pretty cliche but I picked it up at the store knowing that. The only thing out of place is how quickly Dante begins to fall in love/crush on Vivian. Like he totally despises and has no interest in her at the beginning and then a couple chapters in where they hardly interact he’s suddenly all about her? Seems unrealistic, but I guess this is fiction lol.
