I feel as though when I was reading this for the first time, I couldn't really see the dark humour as well. Listening to the audiobook is highlighting the ironic or dryly humorous lines. (Also the New York accents for dialogue are great)

I'm sure it's great... but I'm just dragging myself through it at this point 🙁

I take back what I said about this ‘dragging’ a bit too much — it’s SO tense. I simultaneously want to keep reading and put the book down…
