This far through I believe I can make a reasonable judgement, and it’s a odd one. I love aspects of it, DFW’s unique sense of humour yet earnestness surrounding the world he has crafted’s politics and character situations- everything it has to say about addiction being a certain standout. There’s just some aspects are simply awkward, that haven’t aged the best or simply question what DFW was thinking.
