I had to put this down because it’s late, pero ang ganda. Sana all may father tulad ni Rey.

This classic is definitely a long read, but it’s also a good one. I put it on hiatus because it was the book I was reading when my grandfather died, and every attempt to pick it up brought the grief back vividly. Today, I finally found I could focus on the plot again.

I’m not enjoying this book, but I’m determined to finish it because it was expensive. Lesson: don’t always believe the hype.

Finished Part One of The Brothers Karamazov. So far, Alyosha is my favorite. I wish I had a friend like him. The rest of the characters are deeply flawed and often awful, yet they still feel strangely human and easy to grow attached to.
