I was doubtful the first few pages but that's dissipated now: I remain OBSESSED with Megan Abbott's writing. OBSESSED.

I want to like this book so badly. The worldbuilding is interesting, the story somewhat is too, but I find myself not caring for any of the characters in the slightest so far, and so I am dragging my feet with this book.

Ok, I am a 100% into this now, and I am really enjoying how the revelations about allies vs enemies were unraveled, and the mysteries still happening.

Starts slow, but it gets better as you flip the pages. Enjoying the magic system and consecuences, but it's falling a bit flat in making me care about the "mission" so far. Do like the Latin flavour for once.

On chapter 17.
These two idiots start keeping their d*cks in their pants or I m gonna have to start skipping bits ffs. There is a war going on?? Problems to solve?? You're in the military?? And 21/24?? Behave.

La edición de este libro en español es para darle unos buenos golpes en el cogote con el ejemplar en cuestión al editor. El libro es denso de por sí, pero la absursa cantidad de errores casi hace que lo tire por la ventana.

Feliz de no haberlo hecho porque acabo de terminar Hyperion y: ¡vaya obra maestra! Increíble que haya tardado tanto en leerlo. Encantada de haberlo leído por fin.

Just finished "Breakfast at Tiffany's." I haven't watched the movie either so I didn't know what to expect and for the first 30 pages or so I wasn't sure about it. I love it now. Loved it so much.
