cried at work and now am sobbing cause i thought id be safe with a quick chapter before bed… WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT IM DYING THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN WHY DIDNT THEY GO TO THE FUCKING CELLAR

wowee fat plot twist

was struggling a bit to get into it and then waited too long between reads and forgot who everyone was but i think im locked now

trying to go into this open minded cause it’s an arc but omg i’m already cringing so hard

fucking knew it!! that bitch ass ho

still don’t know what the conflict is going to be but i’m into it

consider me invested omg this is so witchy and writing is excellent so far

over halfway and we still don’t know wtf the deal is with his dad and he hasn’t had a single party cmon dude i’m sick of hearing about stella’s tattoos and piercings and how goth she is

guys is voyeurism hot 🫦

guys i didn’t realise junior was meant to be hot i thought he was a short fat sweaty italian man

genuinely hilarious wtf is going on

yuh might just have to audiobook this i’m not retaining any words when i actually read book club is stressing me

i’ve been in such a slump which is so sad cause this book had such a slay opening but i just can’t pick it up 😭😭 very ready for miss tilde to get her revenge tho, and happily surprised that it’s sapphic!!

NOW THATS HOW YOU WRITE A MF PROLOGUE

a potential dnf update for angel: this book is non-fiction, a collection of newspaper articles, court hearings, etc about the witch trials throughout the 1500s and further. i thought it would be a lot more interesting and didn’t look at the blurb. thought it would be some recounts of witches and their lives/trials but it truly is just copy and paste articles with language from the 1500s so a very tough read

not quite what i expected i don’t know if i can do this

guys i’m stressed cause i know the lore but i don’t want it to happen 😔

loving this pov of aphrodite howeverrrr im so sad for hephaestus he’s just a guy

the most devastating chapter i’ve ever read

AHHH they’re both so awkward and sweet and eeeeek the romance makes me so giddy

reading about an older (or, older than 19) fmc is so refreshing and sweet and she’s just figuring out widowhood and new romance and ughhhh

sooo cute and cosy vibes. hemlock reminds me of howl 😛😛 especially with the moving shop lol. loooove all the cats this is my dream right here

writing is kind of bad? i can’t quite put my finger on why, i think it might be the over-descriptiveness of everything maybe??

also this kid is so obviously going to be some weird evil girl and did this all to herself somehow.

this book is such a warm hug from my childhood i’m having the time of my life remembering all these characters

guysss i read this when i was like 10 and it was really the shit so let’s see if it holds up

the concept of a queer knight using a strap i’m crying

super into the excerpts at the start of each chapter
not loving the ladies’ relationship building tbh feels like they’re in it just because of the tale

this book makes me so sleepy for some reason even though it’s so interesting sigh so i’ve been a bit slow

writing is so well done and reminds me lots of v.e schwab and also the everlasting!! keen to see the love story unfold and i know it will ruin me
