I've read Flynn's Mitch Rapp series before and found it morally simplistic and non-credible. I stumbled across Kyle Mills' Fade series and liked it better, so I returned to read Mills' version of Mitch Rapp. It competently gives Flynn's fans what they seem to expect; kudos to Mills for that. But Rapp remains unconvincing. Shoving a knife through the top of a big man's skull so it comes out beneath his chin? C'mon!

I'm thrilled that my debut thriller, Questioner, yesterday had these Amazon rankings: #20 in Science Fiction Androids, Robots & Artificial Intelligences; #80 in Cyberpunk Science Fiction; #166 in Technothrillers; and #197 in Legal Thrillers.

And I'm 2/3 thru the 2nd draft of the sequel, Harvest!

What are YOU up to?

I just discovered Mills and really like him. He "apprenticed," if that's the right word, writing Ludlum's series and Vince Flynn's series books; but I like his stuff better than theirs.
