For whatever reason, my interest in this series has dissipated. I've just stopped reading it, and probably won't come back to it again.

I am remined of the commentary about the difference between the first Star Wars Trilogy and the second, specifically the difference between action, and talking. This one's a LOT of talking, damned little action. I'm struggling to finish it.

I just finished Make Me: A Jack Reacher Novel and gave it 4 stars.

I just finished Half a War (Shattered Sea Book 3) and gave it 4 stars.

So far it's not been about "ordinary people," it's been about the targeting of wealthy people by prosecutors who want to make a name for themselves. Not quite what I was expecting, but still pretty infuriating. The chapter on Michael Milken was eye-opening, the part on Martha Stewart less so.

Picked up the E-ARC. On page 1475 of 1776 (reading it on an iPod). It's obvious that this is the middle of at least a trilogy - no conclusion to this one either. I'll do a full review when I finish it.
