A book I’m forever picking up again and again

It’s officially above 90 degrees so you know what that means

Okay I will be TRUTHFUL I didn’t totally finish the book because the subject matter was more of a pick up put down skip around vibe for me. That being said, it changed my perspective on a lot and has made my life supremely inconvenient. RIP red 40 ⚰️

Fun, thought provoking book on creative writing! Gave me a lot to think about for when I write for fun, and loved using Russian short stories as the model. Although I’ll probably be writing about, like, gnocchi instead of disillusionment and failed ideals!!

I know I KNOW all the cool kids ~loooove~ this Mutakami starter!!! But I just didn’t :( Made it 3/4 of the way through, but I just don’t have the palate for books like this anymore. Loved imagining what it was like living in Japan in the 1960s!
