Started the penultimate part. Interesting things have been happening with Wit and a few other Cosmere-related concepts and characters. I can feel the pace starting to pick up towards another Sanderlanche, and that’s quite exciting!

Part 3 has really started to get interesting, with Kaladin surviving something big, Shallan doing something consequential, and the flashbacks coming up on a key moment for Kaladin and Tien. I see the next chapter, 45, has the title of a certain realm I learned about from TLM, so I’m interested to see how that is introduced in SA.

Finished Part 2. I wonder if this Seventeenth Shard thing is gonna be important…

Woah. Big name drops with a certain Scadrian shard and another Cosmere planet, and this book subtly explained events I knew about there. I think I know well who Rayse is and am interested in learning more about him…

Is it just me or does the concept of Chulls make anyone else vaguely uncomfortable?

Shallan is the youngest of five siblings, just like me! Biggest takeaway from this chapters for sure; not the reason she’s seeking a wardship, not Kaladin’s start with Bridge Four, and not the windspren having a name. Nope, Shallan’s placement among her siblings is the biggest deal.

Only two chapters in Kaladin and Shallan are already establishing intriguingly contrasting POVs.

I feel like I’ve learned more about the Cosmere from this book than all the rest of the Mistborn series combined.
