I am kicking my feeeeeeet!! I love a grumpy man who gets lost in something he likes about the FMC and goes “wait, why am I thinking about this!? I don’t care about her.” Yeahhhhh youuuu doooo eeeeeeeee

I picked this book for a “Polarizing Read” read prompt.

Xander is just… kind of a gross man at the very start of the book giving you a bad first impression. I understand that it’s the entire point, we are getting the in-worlds perception of him,it’s very clever but as a reader I can understand why it was hard for people to buy into him as a likable love interest when Stevie is so charming.

I’m struggling with some writing projects that are taking all my energy. I feel like I should have been done with this book two days ago… 😩😩😩

Things are getting better! I did consider DNFing but I told myself I'd give it til 100 pages. I have a pretty good idea I know where the story is going and I'm excited for it! (Can't say much else without spoilers but I'm kicking my feet!)

I’m not sure how I feel about this… the term insta-love has been used so much but I think this is my first time experiencing it. Also everyone is trying to be quirky and funny but they just come off as assholes… gonna give it a little bit longer; see how I feel around the 100 page mark…

I wanted to read a chapter before bed and if it wasn’t 3am (don’t ask) I’d just keep flippin’! This book is bonkers from sentence one! I think this might be my first rom-com actually…

Moving this back into the TBR pile for now because Moonlight Book Box just announced they’re doing books #2 and #3 in May and I wanna read the special editions!!!

One chapter... that's all it took to bring me back... to feel so much for these characters... I can't remember the last time I felt this much reading a book... I saw his name and I hissed at my Kindle... it's just... so good...

It makes me wonder if I should DNF more, to find more books that make me feel the way this series does... but then what if nothing does...? God... I have too many feelings!

I'm scared... terrified... The Road of Bones was a six star read; God Tier, Infinity Star, Roman Empire; anything you can say to describe a favorite book... and I am scared to continue series because what if I don't like the sequels as much...? I have no basis for this, I'm just scared!! Ahhhhh

Please ignore any updates that happen with me tonight, OCD is kicking my ass and I keep going back and forth on whether to add literally every book to my TBR...

Oh my God… it was **** the whole time!? 🙀🙀🙀 (I mean duh… of course it was lol). Might have to skim these last 100 or so pages now to see the why… little nervous since Frieda is such a polarizing author and this is one of her more universally well received books and I’m not vibing with it… I wanted to love it so bad… 😬😬😬

Super breezy read but I’m not feeling a huge pull like… things are “weird” but like… there isn’t a conflict yet…? I dunno how to describe it.

Spinner Wheel pick, this is the only non-Romance pick out of nearly 30 I don't know how it keeps happening! This is for my 1 in 1,000,000 Challenge and is my first Freida McFadden as well as my first thriller in a long while! Am excited! I am going in blind with no prior knowledge of anything!
