Engrossing !

I am a skeptic of trauma memoirs in general, but I am giving this a go because a friend passed it on and highly recommends it. Not sure it passes the smell test but will reassess later.

Chapter 1: we meet our feisty protagonist. Chapter 2: she meets a similarly aged an unkempt man of similar aged. Chapter 3: she accepts his dinner invitation. He strokes her face. She licks his fingers. They end up swaddled by sheets in his apartment. Oh please spare me.

You know TLDR? (Too long didn’t read) That’s how I’m feeling. It’s getting tiresome. Not sure I’ll continue although it’s a book club selection.

Loving it! Listening to the wonderful dialect and songs. Not sure I could get the same authentic feeling reading the page.
