The gods are so petty bless ‘em, I love Athena being introduced by pulling hair.

Helen is treated with so much more sympathy than this book is deemed to be in reviews tbh

Absolutely losing my mind at the tragedy and cruelty and rising dread but also narrative compassion for everyone. Artemis crying is like seeing your mum cry for the first time.

Gets so much better on book three when Medea and my goddess girls come in omg. Medea is full of life and it’s rather sweet how much she loves her sister, and the dynamic between Aphrodite, Athena and Hera feels so real.
