the structure of this book—like, the work you know KA must have put in—is jaw-dropping. I’m not saying she makes it look hard, but the more the whole thing unfolds, it’s like watching someone knit lace. you have no idea how they’re doing it but man are they doing it

The diction of this novel is really exquisite

My primary feeling at this point is that Eloise the police officer’s ex gf sounds UNBEARABLE
