I enjoyed this chapter, really bittersweet. Defo eery and daunting and I think sk’s best skill is his descriptive writing and ability to set the scene because this was very chilling

This one was alright. I think the build up was better than the actual story. Still good though, just defo overhyped and had me thinking it was gonna be life changing or at least day stopping. idk it was still good, just not at all what i expected. it has however made me hype for the movie so! a win is a win

i liked this one but it was a tad bit confusing until the ending. i'm excited for the next story because everyone talks about how good that one is

this one was alright. i'm noticing a pattern in stephen king's writing where he almost always makes female characters unlikeable and comments way too much on their physical appearances. why were diane's breasts mentioned like 5 times in this. it bugged me. its been bugging me. stephen please youre bugging me. again it was alright. interesting but nothing special

that one was actually very chilling and daunting. thoroughly enjoyed. it honestly unsettled me and i loved that. i think it's the only one in this whole book so far that's actually brought me fear, or something close to it. the very first story was tense though, but not fearful. top 5 perhaps?

this one was sad. i feel for L.T. it's obvious what happened though and its hard to feel bad for her bc i have an evil cat and i still love her and pet her occasionally and say hi to her every morning. i also have my own lucy who i adore and i would cut off anyone who didn't like my barnacle baby. anyway i enjoyed this story, i get why sk said it was his favourite out of all of them. sad and mysterious and haunting

i think this was one of my favourite chapters so far. i really enjoyed it. i wish the ending was shown rather than implied, but i still really liked it. one of my favs and i dont actually know what to say about it LMAO it just had a different vibe to what the others had. i dont think i can actually say too much without spoiling it, but it felt much lighter than the other stories whilst still obviously being dark

this story was good. based primarily on atmosphere rather than actual horror, but still pretty good. stephen finally locked in and learned appropriate pacing

chapter before bed. pretty good. love some vengeance. didn't love the 3 israel mentions 🙂

i actually have been reading this a fair bit and i read it on the train to see chelsea and i really fucked with it. stephen king reminds me a little bit of that relative you only see at certain events and they make u extremely uncomfortable. love his writing though. however im really enjoying the short stories and the tense atmosphere and the writing is so good and immersive

i forced myself to read something before bed because i keep buying books and not reading them, and im so glad i did, ive missed reading so so much. first mini story was good but predictable but still i enjoyed it
