Seneca continues to Lucilius about the contrast between philosophy and “Epicureanistic” individuals or normal living people. Many people give credit to philosophers to discoveries found within the natural world.

Seneca speaks more on Epicureanism and how connivence is killing the human spirit to create and work.

Seneca quotes Aristotle’s idea of the three causes: matter, craftsman, and form. Plato completes it to become five with his causes consisting chronologically of the material, the agent, the form, the model, and the end. These are definitely good points to keep in mind as an artist myself.

Seneca and Lucilius’s companionship is honorable. I see me and my friend Al, to be one like them. Seneca helping his friend to be in better character and even Lucilius sharing a book. Along with many great lessons that I put or will put into practice.

Enjoying this book amazingly! I really relate to Lucius a lot. Valuing friendships, trying to have a clean diet, and bettering yourself within the simplicities of life.
