I thought this book would be a nice fluff piece. When I say it had me in a choke hold, I mean I was sobbing at the end. Beautifully written with so much heart and depth. The author so expertly gave each story hope and despair.

A little too long. Taking a well loved and used trope (dark academia) and putting a twist on it (a school in purgatory). I thought the two couples that “didn’t know” they liked each other was dragged on to death. It was a good but not good enough to read the sequel.
