Put this down for a bit to start reading Will of the Many, and I have to say that the immediate difference in writing style is night and day. Gwynne’s writing isn’t bad, but I don’t feel like he can write a character as compelling as Vis, for example. I think I just appreciate the style of writers like Islington more- more prose, more substance in world building and characterization. Will finish eventually

Genuinely have had a very hard time putting this one down. There are times where I feel that Will as a concept isn’t as explained as I would like it to be- in comparison to something like Stormlight, which feels incredibly well defined and fleshed our, Will feels oddly undefined and obtuse. Still, I am invested. Really putting Hunger of the gods down on a ranking ladder.
