dnf. diem was the worst mc ive ever read (so far) and i reallllllllly tried to like this series. book 1 was so hard to finish, book 2 was okay but nothing much happened with plot and between fmc and mmc, and by this book, i was fed up with her incessant concern for NOT letting mortals die i truly felt like luther did not deserve her stupidity.

also the copy/paste from game of thrones started to get rly annoying..

this book just plagiarized from pirates of the caribbean with jack’s compass, game of thrones with the houses & khaleesi, as well as many other small motifs that kept appearing. it’s starting to get really annoying.

also because there’s zero character development and also almost to no plot.

i’m a bit confused as to why this book was even written? what is pc getting at?

its crazy how violet is so not understanding to xaden, causing such an issue about him not telling her every little detail about the resistance effort that he’s dedicated his whole life to…like cmon girl. you literally were introduced to this war effort two months ago and you feel entitled to all the info? now that you have to flee basgiath, you feel guilty for cutting off the weapons supply? wtf
