Update: I was really concerned because the vibes had gotten dark and rape-y (in my last update), but thankfully he didn’t touch her! She wasn’t refusing him but the consent would’ve been dubious at best. 😮‍💨

Hmm…not really liking how he (ML) injects himself into her life. He basically forces her to bed him the very night of her mating ritual to another man. 🫠
She does not have a choice. If she (or anyone there) refuses the ML can kill them as it’s his right to the “First Night” as the general. 🫪😪

Too soon to tell. It's a multi-POV so they're still introducing more MC's.

I’m *this* close to dropping…she’s part robot. Genetically altered with metal parts. Her dimension steal resources from other dimensions and then blows them up, yet she’s fled to his dimension.
Oh, and the ML? Well, he’s a werewolf! And she’s his fated mate!!?

Honestly? Valid. The social/economic difference between the leads is so great that the FMC can’t just jump into truly loving him without a care in the world. Still really liking this!

You know how I know that this’ll get a good rating from me? The fact that these two are actually sharing aspects of their lives: their highs & lows PRIOR to things getting romantic/sexual. It feels like a healthy, steady build-up. And I’m so here for this!!! (As long as the leads’ IQ doesn’t fall off a cliff in the second half, this will get high praise from me!)

A book girly’s dream come true: falling inside the fictional town of her favorite romance series!

Things are finally peaceful between these two and I’ll definitely finish this book, buuuuuut I already know I won’t be rating this highly.

The leads are slowly scrapping away at the HUGE RIFT formed in their marriage due to a lack of communication. Slowly but surely we're seeing some progress. Still love me some Cara Bastone, but Vin (the ML) won't be on my favs list the way the first two men in this series are.

Roz is the type of FMC that Bastone does best: bubbly with a dash of neurotic sprinkled in. A common theme in all 3 of the Hearts of New York books by her that I've read.
BUT! I really, REALLY dislike miscommunication in my romance books...😩 I'll continue because I LOVED previous works by this author, but I'm not wowed just yet.
