Ugh. Rarely do I think there’s a couple truly perfect for each other. But this book gives us that and then rudely slaps you back to reality. ❤️‍🩹
Even knowing it’s coming didn’t lessen the hurt.

Everyone in this story is an adult but the first 1/2 read as more YA so the detailed spice scene took me by surprise. Prior to the smut, conversations had been slightly flirty but suppressed. 😳

The lab tech, noting her growing dissatisfaction asked her why she wanted to be a scientist anyway.
“I don’t WANT to be a scientist.” She snapped, “I AM a scientist.”

They better put some respect on her intelligence. Ugh, sexism was not joke in the 1950s and 60s.

Really easy read. Within the first 10-15% they set off on their adventure. Lies have been revealed. Villains established. Solid start for sure! 👍

Did I forget to mention that the MMC is a priest?! 😛😛😛

Really solid book. Taking all the characters that we've grown to know & love from book one and continuing their stories. HOWEVER, I'm feeling bamboozled here... WHY is there "War" in this title when all we've gotten is a handful of skirmishes?!?!? 🥺😭
I wanna see the rumbling and tumbling of foes. "You dare face ME?!?! Prepare to die!" type shit. 🔪💀

You know what? I APPRECIATE the instances of bloodthirstiness we see in this family. It's not reckless killing just to kill, but as the head of a triad family it makes perfect sense for some instances to call for death.

She's such a killer queen. In a world governed by male supremacy and the patriarchy, she's the ruler of one of the biggest Green Bone clans. All the men answer to her. Ugh. Queen. I'm basically frothing at the mouth anytime she appears on my kindle.

Solid story. Liking the multi-personality dragon heads!
Upperhead: with his body identity crisis thinking he’s a human stuck in a dragon’s body.
Lowerhead: who’s a bit silly and gluttonous to a fault!
Centerhead: the “brains” of the trio who’s in denials of liking humans.

What kind of romance novel already has the leads together, fully mutually in love, and in a 10 year situationship all because one of them won't "officially" commit. Where is the payoff? What am I meant to root for?? 🤨
