So good. As a Black American, I’m always interested in reading from the POV of Africans/immigrants, first generation African Americans, because while we’re Black, our experiences are different culturally, and that’s so interesting.

This book is so amazing in ways I never expected. It’s heavy. Raw. And not what I expected for my first historical fiction but it’s so good.

I like it so far. It’s always interesting to see cultural differences, expectations, pressures, etc.

I am waiting to see the full story about why Rumi lowkey detests Mira. I can see why, from his own trauma, however, I can’t wait to see the whole thing.

Literally so good. I’ve been binging this on the plane and it’s so good.

This read is…slow for me.

The author’s writing style is extremely interesting…I can appreciate the dual POV.

Dani’s nativity is gonna cost her so much frustration, and I think it’ll negatively affect Jameson as well.

Dani’s anterior motives are bothering me. I don’t believe in hiding your motives and masking it as genuine interest.

Their lack of communication is frustrating. But, we keep pressing.

Sometimes, Angie is insufferable. But, I understand why she thinks the way she does.
