I want to like this so much more; I’m afraid my attention span will fizzle out before finishing. I’m hoping the story picks up, because it is dragging right now. I like long books, and I cannot lie 😉 But King, Hill, Cutter, and Abercrombie keep me engaged throughout. Of course there will be lulls, but the beginning, like, shouldn’t be one. 😬

Bruh. The audiobook is so freaky that the hairs on my arms stand on end when Mr. Friendlyman speaks. Still enthralled. More into this dual timeline epic about 3 present day senior fucking citizens and their 15yo selves than I expected. The setting, plot, and lore are slightly reminiscent of Derry and the Loser’s Club- but make it splatterpunk.

Not typically one to comment on how many stars I would rate something pre-completion (😏), however I am sucked all the way the FUCK in. Hot damn. Shit is wild. An easy 4 ⭐️ , and climbing as we get closer to the climax and conclusion.
