This book just gets better and better

Edward Said must have gotten in trouble in school often for his page-long paragraphs

When will this book end

It never occurred to me that people from Michigan also use their hands to show what city they’re from

Damn American high school history courses just love to ignore the fact that Japan occupied the equivalent of like a quarter of the earth’s circumference during WWII

I finally understand the hype this is very easy to understand while still conveying good amounts of information in a factual way

This is really one of those books where everyone says it’s amazing and you read it and it’s actually amazing like how often does that happen

Methinks this kid just got kidnapped

Some of these articles are a bit outdated but I’m getting the gist of it

Kinda wish this book had a plot

Kinda boring but we’re getting through it

I don’t know what all this slang means but at least I’m having fun

So far lowkey a little sexist but at least me and the author can agree men ain’t shit

The length of this book is deceptive, she draws you in with the average-looking sized spine but then you start reading and you find a month has passed and you’re still nowhere near the end

Well-written so far, I have to remind myself that the author is still alive after going through all this because it seems like she’s constantly under threat of death for a large portion of this book
