Johnny better be going somewhere with these super long footnotes bc I’m getting sick of them

This book started so strong but I’m realizing these characters lowkey might not end up together and it’s making me dread Lucy’s decisions so much I almost don’t want to keep reading lmao

The illustrations are great, my only question is how accurate are these actually and from whom did this white man get these stories

Started off very simple and I thought I wouldn’t like it unless the plot picked up, but even though there still isn’t much overarching plot the book does a great job connecting readers to Ophelia

I’m not crazy about this writing style but I’m almost done with it so we’ll see, also lowkey I hope Wright dies he’s boring af
