We've experienced this conversation at least 10 times in two books....I'm sorry but it doesn't hit anymore

The events in this book follow the exact same structure of the previous book, including an unnecessary assault used as device to propel the main romance. I mean, isn't there something else to use to get the mmc all alpha and protective or are we resorting to trauma every single time? Give me a break

At this point I'm wondering why we're stretching this out... just get together and be done with it ffs

They don't look like friends to me

I thought this one would have some thriller elements like the author's debut, but it's actually pure fiction and I admit I'm bored

But she was neck-deep now and she hoped his heart would shatter into a million glittering, self-pitying pieces. He would swallow his pain whole, and perhaps he would choke on it.

He hasn't killed her only because she's the mc 😂

She's not being fair 😐

I was never sold on this couple because I don't think they know each other as much as the book wants you to believe, however the tension and banter in this chapter are quite entertaining 😆
