I thought this one would have some thriller elements like the author's debut, but it's actually pure fiction and I admit I'm bored

But she was neck-deep now and she hoped his heart would shatter into a million glittering, self-pitying pieces. He would swallow his pain whole, and perhaps he would choke on it.

He hasn't killed her only because she's the mc 😂

I was never sold on this couple because I don't think they know each other as much as the book wants you to believe, however the tension and banter in this chapter are quite entertaining 😆

All this time I’d been back in town, getting to know my brother and his almost-fiancée better, it hadn’t fully hit me how they had a whole life here. That this was where they lived, and they had jobs and school and shows they watched and . . . each other. Meanwhile, I’d be leaving in another month or so, and I didn’t really have a place here.
