I've been wanting to read this book for months now because the cover and premise tickle me so, but after just 20 pages, I'm becoming hesitant...
The prologue feels a little like the author just showed her hand, and the first chapter feels like a barely disguised info dump that falls into the traps most inexperienced writer fall into with the MC's morning routine... Still, I'm not ready to give up on it just yet ^_^

I'm such a slow reader!
Plus since the loss of my cat and our move to another country planned for later this year, I have been under a lot of stress and emotions which probably explains the huge break I took from books.
But I fear the book itself might be a bit the cause... As pretty as the pictures it paints are, it isn't exactly packed with action.
However, I'm not ready to give up on it just yet ;)

It really feels like an episode of Firefly. It's so good to be back 😊

This is a lot of fun so far! ^_^
And that first sentence hooked me in: "The king, it turned out, was dying." What a way to start a novel!! Hadn't read that great a one-line beginning since "Call me Ishmael." XD

The pages fly by so fast!! I really like it =D
