This book so far is amazing; anyone who is remotely interested in womens issues on an international scale should definitely give this a read.

The furtherance of the idea that women should be housewives and mothers, despite the how educated, and career-orientated women are. Women in Japan are both being pushed into the spotlight AND being pushed into a corner of motherhood and housewifery.

Picked this up from an airport bookstore, and haven't been disappointed thus far. It definitely lends some credibility to a widely thought idea, as well as opening eyes to theories and ideas NOT so well known.

So far, this book has been a pretty big flop, in my opinion. It could have been this great thing, and all I'm getting so far is the "how to be a fangirl" type of idea.
