I feel like this one was a little lackluster compared to the first, but it was still good. A short summary of the entire book is that Brian Robeson returns to the wild with a man named Derek Holtzer to demonstrate how to survive in the wild. After a bolt of lightning leaves Derek in a coma, Brian builds a raft and navigates 100 miles on a river to hopefully reach a dock so Derek can get the help he needs.

In the few pages I managed to read in my limited time, Brian had racked his brain trying to remember anything about comas and how he would feed and water Derek, as well as just take care of him in general

The man who was with Brian was struck by lightning and knocked out

In pages 23-40, Brian returns to the wild, makes a plan to survive, and gets rained on enough to look like a drowned rat

Brian Robeson, famous for surviving the wilderness, is visited at home by three men in suits from a government survival school who ask him to "do it again," with a man named Derek Holtzer, on a wilderness training expedition to teach survival skills, much to Brian's initial reluctance but eventual agreement, leading to their setup in the woods where they abandon most supplies for authenticity.

In the 18 pages I read, Brian had failed to get a rescue plane's attention, made a bow after many failed attempts, a skunk had eaten his turtle eggs, and he had started building a new shelter.

Brian has made a spear out of a stick to get da fish!

In the 16 pages I had read, Brian had found raspberries, ran into a bear while picking them, and had been attacked by a porcupine in the dead of night, which he had managed to fight off.

I could not find the book, so I could not read any of it today

There was a plane crash, and he's been stranded for a day and a half

My favorite part of the story is how the characters interact

the main characters name is Will Tweedy

The setting is set in the fictional town of Cold Sassy, Georgia in 1906

In Cold Sassy Tree, the people around Will Tweedy's grandpa kept saying that he was glad his wife had passed, but Tweedy knows otherwise. "I had never in my life see a man cry that way"
