The introduction alone is worth the book...but now I am beginning Book I: Late Medieval.

Re-reading this marvelous parable.

Finished reading "December" aloud in the car on a road trip. On page 97 I got so choked up I had to stop for a moment. Yeah, I guess I am just sentimental.

With a protagonist named Holling Hoodhood, how can you resist reading this aloud to the kids? It seems to be meant to enjoy in fellowship. It has plenty of "she hates my guts," talk to keep my boys laughing and enough Shakespeare to keep me happy. Fun. Fun.

Reading this to my boys. Not easy to do without getting lump after lump in my throat. I haven't read it myself for several years so it feels fresh and familiar at the same time.

Finished Book VII, in which Raphael describes Creation after Adam asks about it.
