Honestly, didn't know what this was about going into it... But I'm very pleasantly surprised so far. The women in this are intelligent and driven and underestimated to a lot of men's detriment. Emotions and inner turmoil is explored in this book, making the characters feel well developed. The dialogue so far is also phenomenal. This story is one I'm escaping into like a fly on the wall, and I love that for me. hehe.

Seriously SO GOOD so far, I am trying my best to piece together who did it in this whodunit, but I fear it is beyond me LOL. But I'm here for the small Texas town murder mystery with ACTUAL podcast episodes in each chapter. SO COOL!

Some series experience second book syndrome, but NOT this one. James Islington went above and beyond with this sequel, and considering the first book has already been a fan favorite among readers for years, that is really saying something. I cannot wait to see what happens and will most definitely be binging this over the next couple of days. I just know theres something big coming up. Or many somethings 😁
