I have become so engrossed in the story that I forget the inevitability of their deaths and my heart breaks a little at it, hoping to stave off the event, though the urge to read more manages to win each time

I have oft heard the criticism that Miller’s “Circe” is no “Achilles” - I offer the counterpoint thus far; Achilles is no Circe. That being said I’ve only just begun to read it and will have to do so further before passing my judgement.
