I would DNF here, this book is so stupid, but because it’s a book-club book I get to hate read it and bitch about it 🤭

This book is very much a proponent of tell don’t show writing. Also, the author takes a ‘my-reader-has-the-memory-of-a-goldfish’ approach to their writing, as well. If I am told one more time that Noah has three sisters or Amelia misses her mum I’m going to yelllllll
