The TLDR what I learned: you don’t always have to respond!! Stop interrupting people in conversations to say your opinion/story, the conversation will develop in much more interesting ways (I’ve tested this and it’s true). When you don’t know what to say, don’t say anything! The other person will always fill the silence, and they actually appreciate someone simply hearing them out.
