This book so far has the subtleness of a brick in the face on female rage and anti religion. Not opposed but am remembering why I don't read much romantasy anymore. 🫡

Many feelings. Main one being I love when women write scifi. ✍️ Also Jenks and Lovey being together made me blink and then go wow dude you really do have an ethonocentric organic bias. 😬😬😬 Live and learn.

Feeling very called out by this. Also feeling really embarrassed that someone has to so gently and politely explain my own racism to me.

I have to take a break. Ironically I thought I could just power through this in a day plus and my entire body begged me to pause and process. Also have already cried once which I didn't expect.

The line "It is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism" felt like a gunshot. Absurdly painful in its accuracy.

I am absolutely obsessed with this book currently. Such a vibe.

I'm not sure why the hell i decided to start this midday at work. I already want to throw the book out the window. In case you didn't know, Sierra Simone writes books that are my Roman empire and that I literally am haunted and obsessed by forever. I have been waiting far too long for this and caved. And it is consuming me.

I was interested before, but now I'm invested.

Do you ever read poetry right before you go to bed and start crying a little? Maybe it's because life is so long and hard so often. But just a moment, poetry makes you remember why it all matters, and it's enough.

Sometimes, you only read one book in the previous month and are so relieved to stumble across another book you can binge like the trashy raccoon you are. Ladies, gents, and enbys, please climb aboard the train to consuming an unhealthy amount of werewolves in the next month. All praise the call of the wolf. I was afraid I didn't like reading which remains a ludicrous concept.
