I had to reread the first couple of chapters just because the premise is soooo outlandish. But I also can understand given current government climate. But so many emotions have come now that I hit a huge plot point. Some is these characters and dilemmas are so confusing and complex for me to grasp. And keep in mind, it took me a minute to understand the circumstances and motives. Holy crap, this is so depressing. ·

I knew this was going to happen but I wasn't expecting ALLLL of this.

Okay, this book is starting to get actioning.
I can only take books like this in such small increments. I've been slowly chippin away at this series.

Blake is so oblivious and whiny. Dear Lord. Get Quillzebetha back for Krista, Whitney and Goldy's sake.

I should have soft dnfed this book because I feel like this book is just slowly moving along. Laurie's smart ass and the banter between Evander was a big factor at why I kept going. And now there's no banter

W 4 Delilah. Jackson is a dweeb but Delilah is enjoyable and corny. She's so adorable. How can you hate Delilah, OH IF YOU'RE A MISERABLE MAN NAMED KEITH

I love the incorporation of the lgbtia+ in the book!! I love Anequas' relationship with Ingrid and her family. Ingrid is so smart and heart-warming.

Slowly making progress but the concept and the idea of the world building is good, however, I can't for the life of me picture this bridge. I also think more fantasy books need sharks, snakes, the v large cat 😂and jungle living. Lara's such a bobblehead... But I'm supposed to believe she's this skilled warrior... Hopefully book two will convince me

It's so much info thrown at me. I have another 3 weeks to read it/ reread it so I have a better grasp of the characters. So many interesting loops, enjoy USSR history and the propaganda of the days of Stalin... (Not saying I side with it, just is interesting to see how misleading people can lead crowds.

I had to take a break from In the First Circle mid way and figured this was perfect. Definitely still intrigued. Glad that the author is leaving just enough for the readers to want more. I hope it continues.
