my biggest regret was not looking up online for which versions to read for the best experience of three kingdoms. this felt like reading the newspaper but with barely any knowledge of all the characters except for the main characters of this era and after watching the 2010 drama i regret it. i’m getting the 1990s translation next.

finished the first chapter with yayoi and miyuki. i did not need another slog of repeated information on how the funiculi funicula cafe’s hakodate counterpart of donna donna cafe works. got bored and skimmed a few paragraphs of prose bc i didn’t deem the background lore of some characters interesting but because this chapter is abt a mom and a daughter, and i like those: 3/5 bc of the repetitiveness.

after rereading the summary i can tell little flower is gonna fall in love with 少爷 and linjing is most likely gonna be jealous of her muizai and drama is gonna happen

i hope the tung family experiences all 9 hells for being backstabbers like no wonder why none of the servant girls have been discovered once they escaped with miss hart’s help itS BECAUSE THE TUNG FAMILY HANDS THEM BACK TO THEIR OWNERS
