Irgendwie komisch auf Deutsch zu lesen

Es wurde slightly besser aber die Protagonisten verhalten sich definitiv nicht wie normale Menschen- sag mir warum, wenn du eigentlich gereizt und genervt von jemandes Verhalten bist, du in einer Streitsituation von dir gibst, dass du ihn küssen möchtest.
Aber ab und zu ist es hot und ich checke schon auch die Chemie zwischen den beiden. Also ist okay

Ziemlich schlecht/sehr schnell. Kurz etabliert dass sie Badass (Kollegin vor Mann gerettet), klein, blond und kurvig und „nicht so schön“ wie andere ist. Sie mögen sich nicht aber wurden jetzt verheiratet. Rückblick Schule (er hat sie geteased, ein vermeintlicher Liebesbrief an ihn wurde vor der Klasse vorgelesen)- im jetzt schlafen sie in einem Bett, sie hat sich an ihm gerieben und ist gekommen

Anddd we are miscommunicating - kind of shitty that such a good book relies on miscommunication for the third act break up… they are distancing from each other because they care too much about the hate that the other is receiving while simultaneously thinking the other is distancing because of shame connected to the comments about themselves

All cute - love how much time we get with them in a relationship (before the inevitable breakup)- especially both vocalizing that they want to go public.
But we just got the issue of his contract not being renewed due to his missing playboy behavior and saw how that created distance between them..
next chapter we jump to a mirror scene (you know how I hate those) and don’t talk about what just happened

Okay almost halfway through and the banter (plus the whole no sex „because it was a one time thing“) is killing me - in the best possible way

But I don’t really get what the rest of the book is going to be about?? They are getting to know each other -there is the issue of her working for him and his image… but now we are sprinkling the ex boyfriend in (who I hate wholeheartedly)… it’s suspicious 👀

Okay it’s just getting better. I’m officially falling for this couple

The sex was hot (I think I even liked how they handled her insecurities)
The scene afterwards on the airplane was even hotter!! And I love that his and her bff know now.

I wish the sex wouldn’t have happened out of a body call (text) - I wish it would have been more in the moment

Uhh it’s getting hot. Really enjoyed his pov of „saving her“ - especially because he did it for himself (not being able to see her be treated like that)
And the alley scene was hottt BUT -since I am a bitch for commitment - I hate that we are talking about a one night stand… like I know this is realistic for his character butttt I want full yearning and till death do us part shit..

We haven’t reached the „fuck I think I actually like her“ stage yet (which is fine at this point)
But it feels very much like the chase is the thing he wants - not her… at least for now

And again the curvy trope is slowly but surely getting on my nerves

Currently a 3/5 maybe 4?? I’m not sure yet
The banter is good but his trauma/insecurity is a bit on the nose.. I wish we could’ve explored his character (and the fact that he’s not actually an asshat) more organically instead of him telling us and his best friend agreeing with him..

She is cool but as always I’m not a fan of the body insecurity (maybe curvy as a character trait is my book ick)

So the plot is that he gets butt hurt (for like two seconds) over a misconception that she had about him??? lol
All because he actually was a whore-ish football player in highschool

Okay all of the sudden he insecurities are gone and she is confidently picturing their wedding. Don’t get me wrong : I love a confident fmc butttt the pacing is off

The smut is okay- pretty average
I don’t love that they were drunk the first time but I have to give the mmc credit for communicating openly and repeatedly what he wants - a relationship (that gives me hope for the inevitable miscommunication)

Its getting better - at least they are communicating
They got together faster than expected but I enjoyed it. They were (for now) clear in what they want - so thats good

They really have to stop shaming pale ginger girlies … the whole I’m not as pretty as the other girls because I have freckles thing is getting on my nerves.

Please tell me that this is not the whole misunderstanding?? He liked her- She thought it couldn’t possibly be true - So they ignored each other ever since??

She seems super young- why stress about not being in a serious relationship(?)

She was awful to him (I guess having your feelings bottled up because you tried to see the positive in your bf telling you he hates you after you just told him you love him.. will do that to a person)
Using his trauma against him was not okay

About him: Seriously you’re just omitting that you slept with her? While she is being escorted out?

Ughhh and she is not even allowing herself to be angry at him- telling herself he didn’t mean it… I’m sorry please scream at this fucker of a man

Uhmmmm the reason for the third act breakup.. don’t know but I don’t like it
I don’t v understand - he went from loving her, needing her, never wanting to be without her to she is manipulating me and I hate her
I need his perspective asap to understand what tf is going on

His secret (or the scope of his tragic backstory) has been revealed.
I’m pleasantly surprised -this actually creates an issue / weariness. Good plot point.

Okay we are apparently aware of this issue and resolving it through communication

His anger issues are H I S issue - sure you can work through them with him but it’s not your responsibility to evade them

Once he found out he called her “basically a child” not a fan of that
She didn’t go through with it
Overall enjoyed the awkwardness of this situation

He is so head over heels for her - I’m loving it :)

There is a lot of “whooopsi, I’m in your apartment because I know no boundaries” - but if you just accept that as a law of this universe than it’s easy to dive into the story

Now she found out something about him (childhood trauma) and is just dishing the tea out to her roommates (one of which also works for him)… not cool
