Confused by the logic. Christine had him touch her multiple times, but has to actively see him in the light to think ‘oh he’s pale, has long fingers, is breathing and has a home, so he CAN’T be an angel or ghost!’ You were the one expecting an angel to come teach you how to sing so of course he has to breathe. Pretty sure that was his entire first lesson. Feels dumb it’s taken so long for her to work out.

i was so concerned with the spelling and grammar mistakes and was liking the plot but it’s suddenly smutty. fingers crossed it’s not just all smut from this point on. I don’t mind some but I need drama and suspense 😔 probably also should’ve done more research before buying

In terms of the plot I’m actually enjoying this a lot more than Phantom Heart but I do have to complain about some of samey dialogue. Shaya has BARELY had his name used so far. I know he’s only really been in one interaction, but Erik, and the 3rd person narrative, just calls him the Persian or Daroga, it’s bafflingly repetitive to me.

I need a good phantom retelling with something new and not boring asf. At least this has explained the random horse so far but I swear I’ve found three mistakes already where sentences don’t make sense or are just flat out missing a word, and I’m only on page ten.
