Enjoying, like the writing

Two chapters in. It’s ok so far. Well written as expected. A little hazy, but maybe because that’s touching on the theme of memory? Will continue in the morning

I’m enjoying the premise and the thought experiments throughout the book, but I don’t enjoy the writing. It’s very creative and I like tall the interlocking stories but there’s just… something missing that I can’t put my finger on

It’s all getting a bit interesting! Maybe my characters should have secrets?

Mum has just finished reading this book and she says it absolutely brilliant. I’m two chapters in and so far it’s a very easy read

It’s ok, not as bad as the earlier chapters but the love story isn’t as beautiful as I like them to be. I’m not crying because she has to leave. I’m going to finish it because I think it’s well written but I’m still not convened of its bestseller status.

Chapter 17, although sad, was the first well written chapter. Everyone has told me to keep reading, so I will, but I don’t think these are the books for me

Nothing is happening. The book is exquisitely written with great word economy, but nothing is happening. I’m going to plough through because I want to read more fantasy, but so far I have to force myself to read it
