Premise was very enticing, but this dystopian could-be not-to-distant future is actually pretty depressing to read. the chapters are very short and it feels the plot could’ve been fleshed out more, longer

enjoying the premise (but only 3.5 stars i think rn)

I love the way this book speaks to a lot of generational trauma and history that is the beginning, or middle, or simply a chapter, as they say in the book, that becomes a person. Not to say that it’s A to B to C of a person. But being a first gen american from South America, it shows a history that is not easily seen through generations that move continents.

There is a cube that plays a hologram, reminds me of The Candy House by Jennifer something, i think
