Is there a reason the scientist is so unintelligent and plain? Or did the writer just put the label scientist on the most mediocre dude ever? He's supposed to be this genius but there's barely any mention of this thing he dedicated his entire life to. Lots of descriptions of his wife and food and cringy sex. I hope something happened to his brain in the process that made him like this. This is not science fiction yet
