I'm halfway through, but this book is an amazing and tragic history of Russian society told from the point of view of women, some in positions of power and some who suffered in unimaginable ways and circumstances out of their control. The stories of individuals from 1918 to the present sheds light on Russian society, how it treats its citizenry and how women have evolved under Russia's various forms of government.
