The last of my Freida TBR and then I am done with her whole backlist.

I’m hooked — right from the start. I’m completely in love with Hillier’s writing; she’s officially become my favourite author. I already have a suspect in mind and a theory about the motive, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be completely wrong. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!

This book is so different from what I’m used to from Freida McFadden. It’s surprisingly humorous for such a serious topic. Even though I’m a huge fan of her dark, twisty psychological thrillers, I’m really enjoying this one so far. It’s refreshing in a totally unexpected way.

Dived straight from Creep into Freak, and I’m still completely gripped. Hillier’s writing is sharp, twisted, and utterly thrilling — what a treat to read storytelling at this level.
