This book genuinely made me cry more than anything I have ever read before

‘“How was it?” she said bitchily.’ lmao

giving this another shot since it’s almost October 🧛

book is mad horny at the beginning and it jumps back and forth in time between paragraphs. really jarring not sure how i feel about it

Rochester’s just like me because we both dated an 18 year old and the relationship had a slightly inappropriate age gap and caused gossip and unsupportive looks from our peers

“Do you think I am an automaton? - a machine without feelings?” Jane’s conversation with Rochester in ch 23 is so good

the lack of quotation marks in this book is so annoying is it supposed to be like nonconformist or too cool to care or some shit

This books been on my list for a while looking forward to reading it. I liked Wuthering Heights so I’m curious if all the Brontë sisters have the same writing style. If this is good I might pick up The Tenant of Wildfell Hall next

“stupid men are the only ones worth knowing, after all.” lmao

Elizabeth seems like a pick me… she’d rather read a BOOK than play cards with every other person at the party she’s at

Trying to understand Jim’s dialogue is almost as bad as Joseph’s in Wuthering Heights

Miss Lucas 🤓

I think I’ve read the n word at least 100 times so far in this book god damn

john green talking to a terminally ill TB patient: “yea I have anxiety and ocd and depression and it’s just sooo hard for me to take my medication… :/“
