As always, I really enjoyed diving into another Dan Brown novel. I loved the concept behind this one. The amount of research around the human mind and its potential is fascinating and adds real depth to the story. That said, I have to admit there were moments when things became quite technical, and I occasionally found myself a bit lost in the scientific language.

Very descriptive, intimate and raw. Favourite quote: ‘Time makes us sentimental. Perhaps, in the end, it is because of time that we suffer.’

Beautifully written book but a notch too dark for me and I tend to write dark stuff. Each time I would leave the book on the side I was left with a heavy feeling which had to do with reflective thoughts, I even considered not finishing the book at all, but I’m glad I did. The content carries great importance, especially for individuals who can identify with some of the struggles the main character faced in the book.
