Only 3 chapters in & I was done. Too much talk & not much of a plot. Opens w/ Katz in Siberia, which I don’t get. I literally thought I was reading a completely different book than the in description. It was mostly Katz & Lindy spending the first few chapters (after the prologue) arguing over whether she’ll let him buy her a drink at the casino, she & her girlfriends try to count cards and not get caught.

Binge reading dark mafia romance this week. What are you all reading?

I hope this gets better. I can already guess who the “troll” is, there’s so much extraneous dialog & he calls her “Ladybug”?? Omg, I can’t. I had really hoped for a trilogy that could compete with The Mount Trilogy. Almost all the stuff I’ve read of MM lately is the same plot, basically the same characters w/ different names. I really hate to feel like that bc I love MM & I have read all her books 😕
