Ok. This is sometimes unnecessarily verbose.

Sheesh. This made me roll my eyes. What a silly way of writing about the first time she had sex with blokey.

I love the food descriptions. So mouth-wateringly beautiful. Reminds me of pachinko.

This book is full of moments like the above. It’s replete with hand wringing, “protagonist-feels-sorrowful-moments without any progression. It’s a slog to the finish.
