This book has the same problem as the last few - far far too much dialogue exposition. It’s basically a novel of people explaining what is happening to each other. It’s lazy and repetitive. I am disappointed because this series started to well.

Not going great. Feels so overly dramatic and wordy. Having to force myself to pick it up.

I paused and read two other books. Now I continue on out of sheer stubbornness and a possibly unhealthy obsession with aliens I have yet to see.

Pausing to read Legends and Lattes because I am honestly not enjoying this book much.

What the physics is going on here? My brain hurts! I am so confused and where are the aliens? 😆

I stopped reading this when I realized I had to do a reread on book one. I wasn’t getting the full experience from it, there were too many ho,es in my memory.

The illustrations in this book are so amazing. The book is engrossing of course and I am in heaven reading it but I just have to gush about the illustrations, which I am quite certain I have never done in my life!

Can I just SQUUEEEEEEE for a while? So so good! Freaking summoner portal just opened up, "swirl of darkness unfurled 10 feet above us, blue lightening flashing at it's center". Ahhh so cool! Everything in this book has been SO cool!

Oh no! The horror of it all! Got a few pages in, only to realize I just didn't remember enough from the previous book and I would have to do a reread! 😱 I now have to read TWO Mercy books! Woo hoo, quarantine time is looking up folks! 🤣 Mwa ha ha ha ha.

Nope, returned it to Amazon and it’s a DNF before the first chapter. This is why I stick to fantasy , what kind of crap is this?
