I'm up to the part where I was worried for Asha a bit. She made me feel as though she would go through a lot more than just being poisoned after sustaining an injury a bit there.

I'm at the point where Asha got paired up with Gunther and 2 dwarfs that basically looked down on her. Hopefully they can work together in unison by the time the next trial comes around.

It's rather interesting how Mason wrote this book in a way where there isn't many pages but a proper amount of world building that I can easily follow. Like there is a decent amount of information that if you read it or listened to it, it would be easy to follow. I do also enjoy it pretty well too.

I didn't know that this book existed and had to stop listening to The Elf Captive to start with this one. I love how Mason decided to give in a prequel to the first book to ensure that people understood how the main character got her sword. I haven't really seen any author do that before until today.

Even though I didn't get too far in the book, the world building is rather decent. I want to see where this book will take me from here before I make a clear assumption of how I feel.

It's quite interesting to see the dynamic that Adam has with his kids. It seems as though he's trying to be a good father for his kids but they don't seem to really care all that much.

I like how both Adam and Riley are now getting comfortable enough with each other to finally feel a sort of connection with each other. I hope that they finally get together and stay with each other in the end.

I love the fact that the story started to turn in a really good way. I'm hoping that Adam and Riley continues to stay together for the rest of the book.

While I do understand why Riley is so hesitant on trying to let Adam back in his life, Adam is simply trying his best to build that spark that used to be there many years ago. I also understand why Riley is pissed off with him. Like why lead a person on like that?

So far, the book seems to go into deeper detail about the questionable relationship between the two main characters. Makes me wonder what will happen next.

I had listened to another book before this one and it feels as though the world building in this book is better paced and less of a dramatic tug and pull between the ups and down. I actually quite like this pacing

So far, the world building seems quite nice. A bit raunchy but I don't mind it at all.

This book had so many plot twists that ended up calming down almost immediately, I have a hard time not thinking this was actually not based on real life.

Even though the storyline is starting to stray from something similar that happened in real life, I still feel as though that something might happen that will bring it all back.

Even though I'm still in the first 1.5 hours into the audiobook, this feels more and more similar to what is going on with the scrutiny behind the "This Ends With Us" movie adaptation.

I didn't get too far into the book but I feel as though it's a bit too similar to what happend to the movie premiere of "It Ends With Us". I thought this supposed to be a work of fiction, not based off true events.
