A lot more grounded and not as super loud, hastily revolutionary as I expected it to be. Both in the literal and metaphorical sense.

I really do wish that a lot of what happened in this book happened a lot sooner with a lot more pacing. But it has been nice. I still don’t know how to feel about Misaki and Takeru’s relationship and Misaki’s acceptance and relinquishment of her life in general, in favor and in need of a life she has to face, but at least I’ve finally come to terms that this is book centered around acceptance and emotions

THIS IS SM FUN OMG. the fighting is finally getting there and it’s exciting to see it all. Im hoping that Miami is able to Reagan her full autonomy soon because we’re reaching the half mark. I find myself rooting for the ranganese. The politics are pretty questionable in a good way. At this point, im really wondering how this is all going to close up

Ugh, misaki’s blade and her past. I’m so excited for her to start taking action along with the rest of the plot. I like how so far everything has been happening in one day. Super happy to see both mother and son come to terms with the reality of their history and their future to come. The way Mamoru is dealing with this whole world upending is so relatable and interesting to read

I do like the messaging, the author tries to capture what everyone feels in life through simple words to resonate through while feeling these deep feelings. But it’s just not for me, especially with the need this book expresses for god and a higher being being in control of life and it’s for the walker to just experience without any desire to know and change the future.

Not even going to lie, if I wrote this book and sent it out to the published, I would also be doubtful that this would do good globally, let alone within my own country and even further my city. I understand why this would someone’s cup of tea but…

Very simple, common themes. Almost feels a little cliche, right now, honestly. I really liked the little prologue about the lake and boy, that was a part more thought provoking than the first part. Also the emphasis on ‘meeting women on travels’ and women being the one of the novelties of life is interesting. And the. There’s the whole addition of Romani’s and Arabs

The author clearly writes about the experiences of life in a few concise sentences. It’s definitely interesting to see how simple it is and I wonder if the story and the boy’s mind will become more complicated along with the writing

Grain politics are so nostalgic. If I find myself unsatisfied at the plot in the beginning of the work, it automatically wins me over later. Feng Xiao and Cui Buqu need to admit their feelings to each other asap. It’s getting a little ridiculous. Don’t AVOID IT CUI BUQU

I do wish the side characters beyond the antagonist’s side held a bit more importance when it comes to interacting with the plot. As much as I love the comedic moments, they don’t offer a lot, at least as of now. Also, it was a shame to lose Yuxiu so early on

Xiao Lu…..why had he met with Cui Buqu when he did in the second volume? Man I was hoping for some fun interactions between the two of them. FICK

I don’t know if I’m thinking too much but I feel like so much has happened in so little time that it’s making my brain feel like mush.

Poor lady Yu Mo. I’m glad we’re learning more of the main character’s background now.

At first I had thought that Feng Xiao’s framing was a little too obvious but the beginning of this volume brings it all together nicely. Also, apa Khagan being impersonated and the impersonating the last volume was really nice foreshadowing. Super obvious lol

Cui Buqu, never stop calling Feng Xiao Daddy. Seeing Feng xiao cross dress gave me life. They’ve been so much more funnier at the start of this novel. They’re very much acting like husbands and I’m digging the whole Sherlock and Watson feel.

Oh and also, it’s miracle that not every case in this novel has something to do with the woes and innocence of love. The themes here are much more human and less idealistic compared to its pale imitation. Nobody’s acting like love is a complete paragon. Once again, nobody compare jyjf to this again.

I’ve realized that when I like a book, I have a lot less to say than when I don’t like a book. This novel holds a lot of individuality and holds on its own even with the impression I have of the pale imitation of a novel I read before this. JYFJ, I have a special grudge for you in my heart. The politics here are so much better established and properly developed and detailed. Nobody compare the two again.

I love you Tianlang-Jun. pls, never lose your personality

Just reached chapter 18 and I just have to say that I absolutely adore Tianlang-Jun. HE’S SM FUN GOSH

Genuinely it’s been major plot point after major plot point. Yet it’s not even overwhelming! It’s just dramatic fun!! Though then again, I wonder if the plot questions from the beginning of the book will be answered bc SY is doing nothing but escaping his death rn

The amount of crap that just happened in this first chapter is mind boggling. NO WAY SHEN JIU WAS NAME DROPPED THIS SOON!? WHY DO I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF THIS!? I should have never read this PEAKNESS at 14. I couldn’t handle it. Imagine the experience I would have had reading it in a sound mind for the first time. God. I’m jealous
